We Were Excited to Kick Off the Fall 2019 High Point Market featuring our ‘Showhouse in a Showroom’ as well as ‘Dining by Design’ in partnership with Replacements, Ltd. During the Fall 2019 High Point Furniture Market the Alden Parkes ‘Showhouse in a Showroom’ featured six world class designers. Each designer transformed an area of the showroom while showcasing Alden Parkes Furnishings.

Meet the Designers:

Shannon Ggem

Casual Living

Shannon Ggem selected Casual Living from Alden Parkes’ collections to draw her inspiration for her Showhouse.  For her dining room, Shannon chose the Clearwater Dining Table as the feature and included the casual Kimberly Dining Chairs. She created drama with the pop of red color on the fireplace and elegant lighting from Wildwood and tableware provided by Replacements, Ltd.  Her bedroom featured the Shelter King Bed in Taos Fossil leather, with bedding by Wildcat Territory.  The bed was flanked by the Naples Chest in walnut with brass and the Hobbs Chair.  The Suffolk Workstation provided a perfect work area. Shannon created drama in her bedroom with the wallpaper designed by Jackie Von Tobel through Leftbank Art and sconces by Wildwood.  The living room was inviting with its soft neutrals highlighting the Wentworth Sofa flanked by the Indonesian Water Drum Tables.  The Bit chairs in Taos Fossil leather offered comfortable seating accented by the Harrington Spot Tables in hand-hammered brass.  The Joinery Cocktail Table, made from rough sawn oak, was shown in a Newton finish.  Also featured in the living room were the Albers Etageres with decorative bindings by Juniper Books and the stunning Albers Buffet finished in Desert with artwork by Jackie Von Tobel.  The beautiful rugs anchored each setting and were provided by Capa Home.

Philip Gulotta

Modern Glamour

Philip Gulotta chose sophisticated subtle colors for his Modern Glamour style for his Alden Parkes Showhouse.  For his dining room Philip selected the Etna Dining Table and Fretwork Dining Chairs in Kona. The wallpaper added ambiance to his Showhouse, which he designed and was made by Trowl and Paper by Heidi Holzer, the chandelier by Zia-Priven created drama over the dining table, and the elegant tableware was provided by Replacements, Ltd.  The inspiration for the living room came from the Italian fabric Philip selected for the back of the Bunbury Chairs and accent pillow on the Madison Sofa upholstered in a rich, herringbone COM.  The Yin Cocktail Table, with its beautiful hand-painted birds, added interest to the design.  Anchoring  the background was the Triangles Sideboard in black with gold and silver accents and vibrant color from the artwork by BIX Art Group.  The walls of the home office showcased the Etna Etageres with their easily adjustable shelves, the Tiffany Desk in gold with white wash, Victoria Chair and Wellington Ottoman both upholstered in COM. Philip’s bedroom featured the Cachet King Bed and bedding by Wildcat Territory, with two Galaxy Chests for storage accented by two Portrait Mirrors in solid brass. At the foot of the bed is the La Frenz Double Bench in COM.  The wallpaper created a sultry, sophistication and was designed and custom-made by Trowl and Paper by Heidi Holzer .  The beautiful rugs anchored each vignette and were provided by Capa Home.

Andre Hilton

Modern Glamour

Andre Hilton selected Modern Glamour as his inspiration for his Alden Parkes’ Showhouse. He added a twist making the glamour nautical…..as in yacht!  His design embodied the elegance of a luxury yacht.  Andre chose the Peyton King Bed in truffle as the anchor for his bedroom with bedding by Wildcat Territory.  The bed is flanked by the Allegra Nightstands in Tiffany White with artwork by Jackie Von Tobel from Leftbank Art.     Also shown is the Oceana Dresser in Crotch Walnut with the Oceana Mirror above.  The chandelier was provided by Ro Sham Beaux. At the foot of the bed is the Hampton Desk in silver eggshell with the Victoria Chair in Durham Bluejay leather and the Stiletto Bench.  Also shown is the Whitley Wingback Chair in Mr. Cheetah Flannel and the Tiffany Etagere in Amaretto.  The dining room included the Kendal Table Bases in parchment with brass accents with a linen fuzed glass top.  For seating, Andre chose the classic lines of the Victoria Chair with a Durham Bluejay leather back and COM seat. The elegant tableware was provided by Replacements, Ltd. The Monaco Sideboard in Truffle and brass flanked by Canberra Mirrors in parchment and brass. Artwork courtesy of Wendover Art Group. The Vero Bar Cabinet was shown with the Portrait Mirror in brass above it.  The Oceana Console with waterfall glass carries the nautical feel through the dining with the boat model from Authentic Models.  The living room reflects the nautical theme and showcases the Raphael Sofa with two Starward Accent tables on either side, paired with the Moderna Swivel Chairs in Durham Citrine and two Stiletto Benches in Dynamic Taupe. The chandeliers and sconces were provided by Ro Sham Beaux, the artwork courtesy of Wendover Art Group, and the rugs by Capa Home.  Accessories in each vignette from Arteriors provided by J Douglass 

Patti Johnson

Casual Living

Pattie Johnson drew inspiration for her Showhouse through Alden Parkes’ Casual Living.  For her bedroom Patti selected the Hudson Bed in the soft pink Durham Slipper leather with bedding by Wildcat Territory.  She chose the Gallery End Tables in Alden White and the Elliott Double Bench in Alden White as well.  Artwork by Robin Pedrero.  Patti carried over her soft color pallet in the sitting room with the Bit Chairs in the same Durham Slipper pink, the Cubist Chair in Nuance Vanilla, and the Abby Sofa in Durham Moonrock.  The Spencer cocktail and end tables in brass and the Bamboo accent table finished the setting.  The feature wall showcased Doug Frates Glass.  Patti’s dining room featured the Curtis dining table in walnut with four Divine Dining Arm Chairs in Picadilly Blue Mood leather, the Elliott Sideboard in walnut and the Laurel Etageres in Antique Spa Blue.  The chandelier was provided by CMJS Creative and the artwork by Robin Pedrero.  The living room featured the Ava Sofa in Nuance Vanilla, the Cubist Chair in COM, the Whitley Wingback Chair in COM, the Eliott End Table in French Grey, the Albers Rectangle Cocktail Table in Desert and the Elliott Desk in Weathered Walnut.  Throughout Patti’s Showhouse, the walls featured wallpaper from Vahallan Papers and the rooms were anchored by the beautiful rugs from Capa Home.

Hannah Toney

Traditional

Drawing from her experience designing for resort and vacation homes, Hannah chose Alden Parkes’ Tradition Redefined as her style choice for her Showhouse.  Using bold colors and traditional pieces, she created an inviting sitting area showcasing the Tiffany Curved Front Chest and Emma Mirror both in Tiffany White  and the Victoria Chairs in a rich green velvet with artwork by Kathleen Jones.  The living room featured the Reinhart Sofa in Durham Evergreen leather with two Octagonal Tea Tables in 18th Century, the Bunbury Chair in COM by Kravet, two Wellington Ottomans in COM by Kravet, and the Tiffany Cocktail Table in gold with white wash.  Artwork was provided by Wendover Art Group.  The focus in Hannah’s bedroom is the Cachet Bed accented with Mr. Cheetah Cognac.  Shown at the foot of the bed is the Basia Bench in Durham Amethyst leather and the Bamboo Chests offer storage.  Bedding was provided by Wildcat Territory, artwork was provided by Wendover Art Group, and the rug was provided by Capa Home.  The feature wall highlights the Fretwork Etageres in Kona.  Artwork was by Kit Porter.

Keita Turner

Traditional

Focusing on classic design, Keita selected Tradition Redefined for her Alden Parkes’ Showhouse style.  Highlighted in the first image is the Hampton Chest with walnut veneers in a truffle finish.  Artwork was provided by Leftbank Art and wallpaper courtesy of Thibaut.  The living room embodies traditional and featured the Raphael Sofas in COM by Fabricut, the Victoria Chairs in COM by Fabricut.  The six Brass Bunching Tables created a rich, functional cocktail table. Shown under the window is the Elise Desk in rosewood veneers.  Lighting provided by Currey & Company, wallpaper by Thibaut, artwork was provided by Leftbank Art.  The beautiful rug was provided by Capa Home.  Keita’s sitting area featured the Cheshire Abby Love Seat and Bardmoore Chair in COM by Fabricut.  The Rosewood Lamp Tables flank the love seat and the Lesley Accent Table with brass legs and mystic umber finish.  Keita selected three Triangles Tables in Satin Black for her cocktail tables.  The Basia Bench was shown in COM by Fabricut.  The lighting was provided courtesy of Currey & Company.  Artwork was provided by Leftbank Art and the rug courtesy of Capa Home.  The bedroom featured the Tiffany King Bed with a gold with white wash finish with 2-Stiletto Benches at the foot of the bed both in COM by Fabricut.
